A National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) is required for the effective operation of domestic markets, and international recognition to foreign markets. It is a critical element in sustaining economic development and environmental and social well being.
Dr. Monideep Dey served as an US expert in international committees that developed standards that support a NQI for international trade, a critical element in the development of economies. He served on ISO's committee on conformity assessment (CASCO) and specializes in the building of general and specific aspects of the NQI.
Dr. Monideep Dey was the US expert to the ISO working group which developed an ISO standard, ISO/IEC TR 17032, Guidelines and examples of a scheme for the certification of processes, which provides guidance on the certification of processes such as for agricultural and other goods.
