Certification of fire safety designs in accordance with
ISO conformity assessment standards

ISO recntly published a technical report, ISO/IEC TR 17032, Guidelines and examples of a scheme for the certification of processes, that provides guidance on the development of schemes that can be used for certification of processes, such as fire safety engineering.

A specific annex (A.8) has been included in ISO/IEC TR 17032 defining the use of the technical report for developing certification schemes for fire safety designs based on fire safety engineering.  Dr. Monideep Dey, the principal of Deytec, Inc., was the US (ANSI) expert to the ISO CASCO working group which developed ISO/IEC TR 17032.

Dr. Dey provides workshops and lectures on the benefits and use of ISO/IEC TR 17032 for developing schemes for the certification of fire safety designs based on fire safety engineering.  The workshops are customized for specific applications.
